Hillbrow

An existing bungalow was demolished to make way for this new strikingly modern house.  To make use of the existing structure, the ground floor footprint and some external walls were utilised in the design of the new building.  The house is constructed of extremely thermally efficient fabric and makes use of a large solar PV array on the roof feeding battery storage in the plant room.  The internal environment is controlled by a whole house ventilation system with heat recovery.
